Marc Myers was born into a life of non-creative and non-inspiring parents. He spent most of his childhood daydreaming and watching loads of TV. His love of fantasy lead him to collect comic books. At one point, he had the largest collection in his neighborhood.
After he barely graduated from High School, Marc came to the realization that he should focus his creative energy in film. Using his family camcorder he began shooting skits with his friend Denn. These offbeat little short productions were expertly shot but with in-camera editing, gave them an amateur quality.
Soon after, Marc directed his interest toward Stop Motion Animation. He attended film school working on some experimental films and completing the clay-mation film "Raider Lost in the Dark". After the future seemed bleak for traditional animation, Marc focused his sights on comedy. A year later he started studying acting and improv at Second City, Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle, and Actors Alliance Workshop. The knowledge Marc received from these training centers had enabled him to work better with actors.
At around this same time Marc wanted his life to have some meaning, so he took a jobs working with the mentally ill and disabled. This experience gave Marc a special feeling knowing that he is helping out those less fortunate. The job wasn't easy, but he stuck with it. He quickly learned that "if you can work in those environments, then you can work anywhere".
After leaving the fluff of TV and movies behind him for more important work with the mentally ill and disabled, Marc began missing the entertainment. With some advice from his friend Denn, he started to work again in television working with such well know networks as MTV, COURT TV, ESPN, ABC, VH1, CBS, HBO, LIFETIME, and many more.
Denn Pietro uses Whatantics Productions as his giant playground of toys where he has made several short films, documentaries and soon feature films. Some FIELD directing and/or producing credits also include ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT / GOOD MORNING AMERICA, CBS THE EARLY SHOW / EVENING NEWS, ESPN's SPORTSCENTER, ESPN's OUTSIDE THE LINES, THE WEATHER CHANNEL, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, EXTRA, INSIDE EDITION, BET, LIVIN' LARGE and numerous live COURT TV TRIALS.
Denn was recently in Baghdad, Iraq for more than a year working as one of the directors of the SADDAM HUSSEIN TRIALS.
Denver Rochon wrote and directed several short films, videos and stage plays,
including the award-winning 'A Star Is Born', while attending the University of Michigan.
After receiving his degree in Film and Video Production, he went on to write and direct
several features and shorts with his producting partners (wife Lydia Modica and high-school
friend Jason Flowers), many of which have been screened and won awards throughout North
America. Denver has also produced numerous nationally recognized local broadcast and cable
commercials, and has acted as producer/editor on several music videos for local musicians
(Kid Rock, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise).
Jeff Turner holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Birmingham Southern College. He is a writer from the great state of Alabama, birthplace of Harper Lee, Truman Capote and George "Goober" Lindsey. His first novel, a science fiction drama completed in 1997, was met with the critical acclaim of such literary dignitaries as his mother and several college chums, two of whom were not drinking or drunk at the time of their review. Publishers overlooked the effort, however. Turner believes he was penalized for being a Southern writer who did not write about lawyers. The publishers themselves attributed their rejections to an apparent lack of regard for or even a vague familiarity with the accepted structure and conventions of science fiction novels in the marketplace at the time.
Ten years, one withdrawal from the workforce, one wife, one return to the workforce, three screenplays and two unfinished novels later, Jeff is focusing his attention on a screenplay largely dealing with failure. "Reunited" is a comedy dealing with the pressures of attending one's 20-year high school reunion when life hasn't brought you what you wanted or expected. It is not, despite suspicions to this effect, autobiographical.
That doesn't grab you? How about the return of Christ? In "Bethlehem, PA" presently in planning stages, we are asked to consider the world's reaction to the Messiah's return. Would he be accepted by the faithful? Laughed at by the masses? Maybe persecuted by heathen Green Party voters? It's a comedy!
When he is not hard at work on human drama or potentially blasphemous musings, Jeff works in the insurance industry where he finds his attention to detail, keen insight into the human psyche and a good working knowledge of several key obscenities helps him excel. His association with Whatantics Productions (Chief Coffee Boy and Executive Producer in Charge of Snacks) has been a welcome respite.
Jeff Turner lives, loves, writes and watches movies in Livonia, Michigan.
